GG Tours organised a jeep tour for our family to Udawalawe National Park to see the elephants. GG organised a car fom Unawatuna to the park and return, and a jeep for the park with a driver and guide. The tour was very well organised and I would not hesitate to recommend GG tours

Wecame in to the office not really sure of what we wanted to do. G.G gave us some excellent advice about our choices and very soon we had decided on doing a 3 night trip to Tissamaharama so that we could visit Bundela and Yala National Parks and Kataragama and Situlpewaha temple, and then come back here to rest up for  a couple of days before returning home-- with the option of doing an afternoon trip to Udawellawa on the last day if we hadnt  seen any elephants.  Everything went incredibly smoothly, all the arrangements worked seamlessly. We had an excellent guide, Rohan, who showed us round both Bundela and Yala. He speaks excellent English and has a passion for the wildlife he is keen to find for you and explain to you. He is happy to let you linger long over looking at various scenes or animals, rather than  expect you to take your photos and then be whisked on to another place in the park (as seemed to be happening with other safari jeeps) In Bundala we saw flamingos, many different types of storks, herons, pelicans, eagles, peacocks as well as lots of smaller birds-- jungle fowl, green beads, fly catchers woodpeckers.  In addition we also saw some elephants, very close up, which were having a mud bath- one of which came up to the jeep and stomped its foot on the front bumper. Rohan was very calm and just shouted at it to go away-- and it did. As well we saw crocodiles, land monitors and quite  a few other animals. The next day we went to Yala and saw all of the above as well as a leopard. So we didnt do Udawelawa on the way back, but next time we come to Sri Lanka ( and we will definitely be back) we probably will.

If you are thinking of doing a trip over that way, just go! its wonderful and you can feel very confident that you will be well looked after by GG and his team. Our driver there and back was a very safe and careful driver. GG even rang us while we were there to check everything was going well-- and it was.

we did a four day tree nights tour with Happy Tours taking us to Yala, Ella including Ella Rock, Little Adam's Peak World's End . The tour was very good value for money and we had a fantastic time! we saw Leopards in Yala amongst other things and our driver,Sam was excellent driving at a good speed to enable us to take in our surroundings as we went. He stopped whenever we wanted to take a photo  and was very knowledgable about his country. The walk up Ella Rock was spectacular but that paled into insignificance when compared to Worlds End. We were told we were lucky but the view was amazing we could even see the sea!! the Ayurverdic massage was to be reccommended at Ella especially after the walk up Ella Rock. the hotels we stayed in were great and in particular Sky Green Resort offered superb views across Ella gap.

Thank you  GG for a great few days
